    IPB 4.0

Hey Everyone, We made the move into IPB 4.0 RC2 today, as it is finally stable enough to upgrade to. We use IP Board as the backbone to all of our stuff, so this is the first step to making sure things continue to work in the future. -Resin_
  2. Hey Folks, Our (modded) Rust server is now live, you can find it at theblackmarket.co:28015
  3. Hey Folks, As of roughly 11/18/16 our services have been migrated once again, as the host we've had for the last few years has been having ongoing vitulization issues. Our box is now located in Dallas TX (central), and our storage is now completely SSD-based. We've also moved off of Windows Server 2012 to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, which has freed up a bit of resources. Rock on, Resin_
  4. Hey Folks, New emoticons have been added to the forum! If you find any more good packs, let me know here! Resin_
  5. I love Knights of Sidonia, as well Mirai Nikki. What about you guys? Besides School Days.
  6. Hey Everyone,   It's been a hectic month for us all, especially with the Holidays. We would however like to get the ball rolling on some things we've been working on (mostly Sinch), and set ourselves up for 2015.   You've all noticed a change around here in the last couple months, and it hasn't been for nothing. Once Magnum and I get settled with our personal lives, we hope to have some exciting stuff rolling out beginning next year. While the two of us finish up our branding work, Sinch has been slaving away on our first project. The Distributor has made massive progress in a short amount of time (because Sinch is a freakin' beast), and it will also take on a new name before its public beta release.   Sooooo... what's going on with The Black Market? TBM isn't going anywhere. Unfortunately, my personal life has left me with very little free time as of late; but I am still keeping an eye on everything. Our donation systems have been down for a while now, in anticipation of moving to a better method. Game servers will continue to sprout up when desired, as of now we're sitting on 3. The community has always been very vocal and helpful on moving TBM forward, and hopefully we can get back to that "feeling" in the near future.   For now, please feel free to respond with any comments, questions, or concerns and I'll address them to the best of my ability!   Thanks, Resin_

  8. Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Children of all ages, The Black Market Wrestling Federation proudly brings to you... SUNDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN Due to an overwhelming positive vibe from a run of the pilot episode, I feel like this should be a weekly "show" that airs every Sunday night. "Wrestlers" can be any size, all classes are welcome to participate. We'll have matches of all different types, eventually leading up to a championship bout at the end of the night to become the coveted... TBM HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION of the WORLD! (This would be a weekly show, so the title would be up for grabs each week) The announcing team will be me, "BK Kraken" and one other volunteer soul. I really want this to work weekly, so I made a steam group for this very event. LINK http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TBMWF# I'd really like the help of an admin or two to moderate this type of thing, I feel like it would add a new flavor to each Sunday night.
  9. Man. Its been such a long time since I've been active here. Well, let's get started. Age: 14 (I possess a lot of maturity, so even dank memes won't make me laugh.) Country: Where the NSA is. (USA) Steam Profile: http://www.steamcommunity.com/id/pootisisepic1/ On average, how many hours are you on the server a week: Honestly, if I ever get accepted I'll be heavily active. Now, I just visit for about 1 hour each week. Times I am usually on? Right after school, like 5:00 PM-10:00 PM. Otherwise, I could be in the server almost the whole day on weekends. I'm not a admin in any game/group. Yes I own a mic, a Hyperx Cloud II and will begin to utilize the mic. Sigh. Sourcemod Experience: I've toyed around with Hammer before, but I really don't have a lot of experience. If it is easy to learn, I can do it. I play a lot of multiplayer games, such as Minecraft, CS:GO, Planetside 2, and Super Smash Bros. What makes me a good janitor? Well I just tend to in general have fun with the people playing. Make it a enjoyable experience while they are in the server. On the other hand, I do love to enforce the rules. A lot. I don't tolerate anybody harassing another at all. How do you handle a verbal abusive situation made by a person over the mic? Ensure them that there are rules and if they are not to comply by them, it will result in a 1 day ban. No questions asked, just a simple ban. What would I say to Gaben? What's your PC specs, my good sir?
  10. Hey Everyone, All versions of trade_alley dating back to Beta 7 are now available in the downloads section of our site. As many of you know, Ryuke has taken over development as of this year and has been having fun tearing apart my hard work It's always fun to take a glimpse back in time. -Resin_

    IP Changes

For reasons unknown, my ISP is constantly changing my IP. Your best bet from here on out is to use the domain for everything. For instance, to favorite the TF2 server: defeatedsoftware.com:27015 Or for Mumble Host: defeatedsoftware.com   Sorry about that, one of the small nuisances that I was hoping wouldn't come along with hosting in-house.   -Resin_
  21. Tired of playing games below 30 FPS? Wish you could have ultra/high graphics? Fear no more, as these TBM-like (basically the color hue of Defeated Software) PCs will certainly meet your requirements. The $600 Barebones Gaming PC: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor ($64.99 @ NCIX US) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($30.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($119.99 @ Micro Center) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($72.98 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($48.99 @ SuperBiiz) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card ($134.99 @ NCIX US) Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.90 @ Directron) Power Supply: Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($67.39 @ Amazon) Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer ($14.98 @ OutletPC) Total: $595.20 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-01-22 19:43 EST-0500 I'll be honest, this PC was actually quite difficult to pick out the parts. Sure I could've gone with a i3 CPU (comes with 4 cores, which is required for next gen), but however, are we willing to sacrifice the crazy overclocking performance of the G3258 for bloody 2 more cores? The G3258 CPU is a absolute monster when overclocked and will run the earliest next gen games (BF4 specifically) and will have similar performance to a i5 or maybe even a i7. The Hyper 212 EVO cooler is the most awesome budget cooler I have ever seen. It allows the ability to overclock the CPU way more higher, while keeping the temps under 70c or so. (fucking 4.7 ghz are you kidding m8) The mobo, I kind of gave up. Sure it has the color scheme I was going for, but its kinda overkill. whatevs mlg pro this son The RAM, 8gb is fine and good to go. Storage, 1TB is honestly enough and a SSD would be nice but with this tight budget, a HDD only would be fine. The GPU, a 750 TI, is a great pair with a G3258. It runs BF4 at least 50-70 FPS range at medium-lowish settings. The case, its pretty good for its price. Doesn't have a window to look at your hardware, but its just good. PSU and optical drive, not much there. Now, why did I forget a OS? Budget restraints. I'm sorry, but at least have a USB and a OS lying around so you can install the OS. The $1000 Gaming PC: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.95 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($30.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($119.99 @ Micro Center) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($72.98 @ Newegg) Storage: Sandisk Solid State Drive 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($60.97 @ OutletPC) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($75.99 @ Directron) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card ($209.99 @ NCIX US) Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($74.99 @ NCIX US) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($89.99 @ Amazon) Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer ($14.98 @ OutletPC) Total: $970.82 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-01-22 19:43 EST-0500 The CPU has been upgraded to a excellent overclocker, code name "Devil's Canyon" into the i5-4690k. Its a excellent CPU for its price and performs well in games. The CPU cooler, kept same due to the matter of fact it is surprisingly good at cooling a i5-4690k as well. The mobo, kept same as it is a Z97 board and its just good. Gosh. The RAM, kept same. Pretty good. In this build, a 128 gb SSD has been included, which is faster loading screens. Hooray! There's still a 1 TB HDD. Fuck you. The GPU has now been upgraded to a GTX 960, with awesome performance in late last-gen games. Witcher 2. Watch Dogs? Metro: Last Light? I dunno. Throw some games at it. Look at some benchmarks. It'll at least keep +30 fps and above. The case. Its actually not bad for its price, it has USB 3.0, a window (you might have to remove panel) and a classic PC look. PSU, with 750 Watts. Some upgrade potential, to be honest. Plenty of headroom for overclocking the CPU and other "things". Same optical drive. No OS? Come the fuck on Pootis! Yeah, but you know what, fucking budget restraints. Also "Devil's Canyon" code name, the i7-4790k will certainly bring the best FPS performance in gaming. unless you count dem i7-5930k's and i7-5960x's, good lord. The CPU cooler, has now been upgraded to a decent one. Its a bit pricey, but cools the i7-4790k efficiently because this CPU can run pretty hot. The mobo looks the same right? Its good enough as it is. RAM, ah yes, 16 GB. Perfect if you stream, have music, and play games. GPU. Dear god. GTX 970 STRIX sli. Extreme amount of performance. Also adds the requirement of a 144hz (1080p, 1440p) or a 4k monitor. The case is noice. Has a nice window and just awesome. Has silence and cooling options for the case. I mean on the case. You can remove things. Switch around things. Did you know that? A 256 GB ssd, a good one, has been added. Faster loading times! 3 TB of space, finally! The same PSU. Still plenty of headroom. Finally, there's a bloody OS! Windows 8.1! I know it might be sucky but its faster than windows 7. Unless you want Windows Vista, motherfucker. Same optical drive. You're not watching blu ray on PC, right? So, while these may be TBM-inspired gaming PCs, the three listed here are from my recommendations and knowledge. You can find some recommendations to modify these lists for better performance and what not. Oh yeah, I forgot the AMD versions of these PCs. However, I am a Intel/Nvidia fanboy. Deal with it. The reason for this post, is that I was inspired by Rand's dell venue 8 pro. I cried. I wanted to help others that want a good PC.
  22. I am honestly not too surprised. The map has a lot of potential, but its just too spacious. There's not a lot of "life" in the map, and the RC3 lighting has been somewhat downgraded. The bus has been removed in favor of the Pootis Car Simulator. Sigh. The cars are way too fast. I didn't get run over by a car that was going at 120 mph. Besides that, the brick textures on the building makes the map look bland and not much of a unique look. The decals (sign, movie, menu, whatever) were removed as well. So far I saw 2 error signs, one of which was a car and a prop on a roof. If you want, Raisin, give me the map file and I'll put my suggestions in Hammer.
  23. The Cherry MX Blues fit me so well. Tactile and clicky. Awesome! Its also compact which is a plus. Wished it had a wrist rest, but oh well. One day, I shall get the Corsair Vengeance K70 RGB. *sniff*
  24. Hey Guys,   A couple of us recently started playing Arma 3 Epoch, which has been extremely fun. So much fun that I threw up an (currently) 80 slot server for it! If you own Arma 3, come play with us! If you want some more information on what Epoch is before dipping your toes in, visit EpochMod.com.   IP: 74.91.113.210:2302   -Resin_
