    The Move

    Hey Everyone,   As you may have noticed by now, we've moved. Don't let the new name fool you, this is still The Black Market, with all the same folks. Defeated Software can be looked at as sort of a "parent company", although it's just the same people from TBM under a more official name. This is all part of a bigger plan, which in the end will be a much more streamlined and integrated machine. If that makes any sense.   There is still a lot of design work to be done with the new look, so expect some hiccups and changes over the next couple days. If you notice anything ugly as sin, post it here and I'll fix it up. If you have any questions about Defeated Software in general, feel free to ask them here as well.   Thanks, Resin_

  6. Hey Everyone,   For about the past year, we've been in a strange predicament. For the longest time, we had so many servers we wanted to host and not enough recourses to do it. It seems that now however, we have nothing to host (that would be worth hosting). We've run the gambit!   -L4D <-- See L4D2 -L4D2 <-- Hosted on and off for years, Valve dedicated servers get all the playtime though -CS:GO <-- We could still host this, but we'd another face in the crowd -Garrys Mod <-- Fun, but tolled the server and crashed frequently from abuse -Poker <-- Down for the time being -World of Warcraft <-- That was a fun one, needed more people though -Minecraft <--Still going -TF2 <-- Still going -Terraria <-- No one knew it existed or played on it because there's no way to advertise it   ..and others I'm sure.   Where do we go? What should we do? I blame Valve.

  10. HEY. TBM. PLAY THESE GAMES. IS GOOD. 1. Guild Wars 2 - A fresh new MNO experience, this delivers a fascinating sequel and a awesome community. "Kill 2 rats" quests are GONE. No more backtracking! No more paywalls! No more subscriptions! Everything. Is. Free. in this game once you buy this game for only 49.99 (depends, there is also digital deluxe edition, 59.99), you are welcomed to a world of surprises and excitement! Dynamic world events that happen around several areas, including mini bosses and even giant huge ass world bosses! It brings the community together very well and supports teamwork and grouping, as well getting in a guild! There is also a good customization system (not perfect), trading post (auction house), gem store (buy cosmetics and other things that are unnecessary), ACTUAL personal storylines like SWTOR but more diverse, and unfortunately a simple character creation system (but you get to choose your class specific stuff and then story elements). This is a very good timewaster and also worth your god damn money. Quit playing shit and grinding mnos, get guild wars 2 today! (I'm looking at you, WoW) Also, this game is 16 gb or different (about 250k files so prepare your computer for a computer download clusterfuck) 2. Battlefield 4 - I know, its bugs and shitty netcode made people's opinions on this game very negative, also the game has a shitty and toxic community. On the bright side, you are present to michael bay battlefields on good and bad maps. You also have a OP arsenal of guns so prepare you ass for getting killed in 2 second. (some guns are shit) You have teamwork and communication available, as well destruction. BLAH BLAH BLAH blah blah blah, this game is graphics heavy so would not recommend playing this on shitty computers (rand's tablet won't work) Also, this game requires origin and a hefty amount of money for DLC and preminum. (just buy prenimum). this game and prenimum costs over maybe $100 or $150, i don't know. and thats about it because these games i usually play.

  13. The tales and stories of Lenny World War I, a tragic moment in the Black Market history. Many women and men died, but fought bravely on both sides of the war. The Lennys were a pro nazi type of faction that was determined to overtake the Black Market. Many however, fought as the freedom fighters that constantly hated both the Lennys and the Poots. The poots however was determined to overwhelm the Lennys and declare the Black Market as their own. In the end however, the freedom fighters returned neutrality to the Black Market and also peace. To today, many of us are united, but the horrifying moment was unspeakable and long. PART 1 - The Prologue There was indeed, a long lasted tension in the Black Market. By the dictator of White_Warlock, he encouraged the use of Lenny, a powerful and mind controlling chat weapon. When the people had enough, the Lenny showed its true powers. It made the people use it. However, much of the people were not influenced by it and therefore fought back with whatever keyboard they can find. There was unfortunately, not enough so the people had to retreat. The Lenny soon had a massive army and was called the Lennys. The Lennys fortified the Black Market, keeping out any visitor or intruder. On the other hand, a massive group formed the Freedom fighters that scavenged much of the supplies outside the Black Market. They had plenty of keyboards and supplies. Another massive group was also formed, called the Poots. They had advanced prototype keyboards that they made from a science and technological lab. They had a few supplies, but lots of members equal to the Freedom fighters. The two massive group factions settled down, hoping to take back the Black Market. However, one night caused a spark to a massive engaging war. A member of the Freedom fighters, Shyrus was caught stealing supplies from the Poots. Shyrus was threatened with a execution, but soon was free from the Poots. Shyrus was indeed a high ranking officer in the Freedom fighters. The two factions soon engaged in a destructive war, while also fighting the Lennys. It was either total domination or extinction. My terrible 13 year old made map:

In your steam application settings, you can choose a "beta branch". This allows you to opt in to our experimental branch to try it out.   Does my saved character get affected in experimental branch? No. It runs on a different database, so any changes will not affect your character on stable branch.   I can't find a slot while on experimental branch! Only a small number of servers run this branch. You will need to change your game back to the stable branch and play on a normal server   Can I join a stable branch server wil experimental branch client? No, you would need to change your client back to stable.   When will this be in stable? We expect stable to be updated before the end of that week (by 7 February 2014).   Why has <insert any bug> not been fixed yet when there is new content coming in? While priorities are very important when assigning work, there is a limit to how many people can work on a complex task without making it even more complex. Also, many of the team are focused purely on content/design so while the important stuff is being fixed, they continue to provide content and design updates.   Is mouse acceleration being fixed? It is not fixed in this update, but we plan to make control changes. Hey Guys,   Sinch and I are working on getting an "Auto Donation Thing" going, we'll keep this thread updated.   So our main goals here are just to make donations on the server easier for us, and instant for you. The donation page will function almost as a store, we will be using Donator Express as a backbone. We have pretty much re-written the whole thing, so Donator Express is no longer a backbone.     All in-game perks that come along with your donation are strictly cosmetic, meaning they never make you instantly or gradually better than another player. We are a non-profit, all donations go to our server fees; and any extra is saved in our Paypal account in the hopes of upgrading the machine. Please keep an eye on the DayZ twitter for updates. Many of the changes not listed here are significant database cluster changes associated with our datacenter, and involve configuration changes to DayZ servers themselves. No. It runs on a different database, so any changes will not affect your character on stable branch. I can't find a slot while on experimental branch! Only a small number of servers run this branch. You will need to change your game back to the stable branch and play on a normal server Can I join a stable branch server wil experimental branch client?
