  3. We are currently reviewing your application
  4. We are currently reviewing your application - sorry it took so long to respond!
  5. I'm not dead yet either!
  6. Based on what others have to say and the amount of hours put in, I would be willing to support this one as well - I as well would like to see our moderators more active on the forums
  7. If anyone is interested in playing or if there is a feature that would potentially draw in more players, we are open to suggestions - all suggestions will be considered by myself and if I view them as a reasonable addition/change I will then implement them on the server and push out the new update using Socket
  8. I also think this is a bad idea - the tags right now represent people who have contributed to the support of the server and the community, simply playing on the server should not count as an equivalent to those who have donated.
  9. Socket & Minecraft are back online
  10. Socket should now be online - Click Here to Download Socket
  11. It will - that will provide the automatic updates - I am working to bring that back online as well
  12. I am working on bringing Socket back online to push the required mods/updates to minecraft clients - the minecraft server should be back up and running - it is running on a slightly different connection protocol due to the current server specs.
  13. Updated to include more mobs that want to kill you as well as furniture, more blocks, another dimension and ways to create more compacted storage.
  14. Version 2.0.0

    IP Changes

Also If you installed Socket prior to this announcement, please uninstall the old client and redownload/reinstall the client as the domain is now used as the connection string rather than the ip
  20. Is anyone interested in the attempt to move the server to a 24 Hour Real Time system in at least one of the worlds?  I have a config that suggests that it is possible, what this would accomplish is to give a 24 hour time clock for the various pokemon spawns in order to attempt to replicate that of the Pokemon games.
  21. After having several runs with Beta Testers in order to test mods, a short break, and a complete rebuild of the server due to the loss of MCPC+ and Cauldron, we are back with a Pure Forge Server. To Connect, Simply Download Socket, Click Minecraft in the Socket Library, Choose Install, Let it do its thing, then follow the directions located under the Manual Section of the Socket Library to setup Minecraft and you are good to go. What this currently means for players: 1.) The Worlds are Completely Fresh, New, Clean, and Uninhabited. 2.) Players are Free to Build Pretty Much anywhere - as long as no major mod updates come out the majority of the world space especially the main overworld is completely safe to build in 3.) The worlds are all Survival Based 4.) Users can now use the majority of Survival Based items as long as no major amount of griefing or intentional lag creation occurs, users are free to build, mine, loot, and play uninhibited to provide a more realistic style of gameplay 5.) Elimination of Lockette - Though Lockette was a good chest/door protection module it relied on a bukkit based backend on the server this has since been eliminated due to a DCMA notice issued in late 2014 - That being said many of the mods introduce lockable equipment, ways to build area protection etc - search for a way and you are likely to find one 6.) Introduction of several dimensions - meaning more gameplay options - Lord of the Rings, Atum, Erebus, Elysium, Twilight Forest, Overworld, the Nether, and The End 7.) Way more blocks than you could possibly imagine - Imagine being able to fully customize your creations - well now you can with the introduction of thousands of new blocks, hundreds of new food items -- Feeling overwhelmed - use the built in Crafting Guide to look up recipes 8.) Introduction of a Mapping Mod - Journey Map tracks where you have been and provides a good in game map - also if you are looking for a more antique view, craft an antique atlas and check out the old school mapping style 9.) Metals stronger than Diamond - With the introduction of so many mods, it only seemed right that diamonds would no longer be the end game material - experiment while mining, smelting, and creating alloys to create the best armor and weaponry. 10.) Travel the worlds, discover their secrets, and most of all have fun!
  22. Good afternoon,   Due to the recent server move, we are currently in the process of updating small bits of code of the Distributor in order to bring it online and have it ready to go in order to best serve our community.  It will begin as a way to distribute our mods for our Minecraft server which is also currently under reconstruction due to the recent move, but will one day serve as the means by which users can download, install, update, and play the games we release.  I will list some features here but will release more details about the various features in the Distributor Section of the Forum as we move forward.  The Distributor, uses the same credentials as the forum so as to save you time from having to create a new account and remember 2 different logins when visiting our site or using our products.  Furthermore, the Distributor features chat, clans, private channels, clan channels, and much more to give users a large amount of control over their chat experience.  With the ability to create Clans, users can create groups within our community that are associated with their clan, allowing them to have the ability to have full control over their channel - Inviting users to their clan, kicking users from their channel, banning users from their private clan channels, etc.   As life quickly become more complex, we appreciate your patience in waiting for releases such as this, we would rather release a solid/stable product than ask that all of our community members deal with an Alpha version of the software.  Will there be bugs, most likely, but as we move forward, we hope that we can build this software into a product we can all be proud of.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us here as we are always watching, even when we aren't.   Sinch
  23. Now, I know there is some interest in the community of members that wish to learn programming or are trying to learn programming but need some guidance.   This is simply me doing an interest check to see: 1.) Who is interested in learning programming? 2.) Who is interested in a sort  of app that would function as a basic tutorial to different programming basics, as well as some coding practices you won't find in schools (most high schools and universities)   This would be a custom app that would be geared toward tutorials that would attempt to instill programming knowledge into our community as well as give aspiring programmers a chance to ask questions on how to do different things within their own code as they went along.  The app would start out with the basics of programming in the various languages that I am fluent in, 1.) to show the differeneces in the languages and 2.) to allow different members in our community to learn the languages they please.  The app would continue to grow based on questions asked by community members, allowing it to become a more advanced guide complete with sample code and examples of what you can do with said code.   There would be several conditions with this project. 1.) Members of the Community Should not Spam Message my inbox with requests/questions  --- There would be a subforum dedicated to this 2.) Members of the Community - Yes could ask questions regarding homework etc, but should not under any circumstance expect us to get back to you immediately, or expect us to reply with an answer that gets you a perfect score on your homework -- different people have different coding styles some of which do not always match the standards/expectations of professors -- You are responsible for your homework and the grade you get, if you choose to accept our help/follow our tutorials that is your choice. 3.) Do not join mumble to ask questions in the event you were not instructed to do so on the forums - as many of the admins work full time jobs and we like to relax in our spare time as well     That being said, I have decided that I would offer my assistance in this form to help inspire members of the community to learn coding. For those of you interested, I will say the road to becoming good at programming is one based purely in logic, rules, and ambition.  If you feel you have a firm grasp on cause and event, choices and consequences, the workings of the butterfly effect, and understanding that every action indeed does have a consequence then you are on your way to understanding the basis of logic.  Additionally, if you feel you can follow rules, read instructions, remember step-by-step implementations, then you are one step closer to being able to abide by the rules of programming logic.  Finally, if you have the ambition to try to find a solution until your eyes bleed then you may just have the ambition required to be a good coder.  For some coding can be a fruitless, frustrating, pain in the ass process that they never master, but for coding is relaxing, a simple yet elegant place in time and space that I can be myself and let the magic flow from my finger tips to create projects with untold potential, and so with this I make this offer to the community.  If there is interest, I will create a programming tutorial that will grow based on the questions I receive from community members.  Will it take some time, absolutely, could it be a waste of my time in the long run, potentially, but if we are not willing to take that risk, we may never know if we have unkindled potential hiding within our midst.
